Galata Tower
Galata Tower was built on the highest point called Galata, between the city walls of Genoese colony in 1384.Galata Tower was used by janisaries during the first period of Ottoman. That it was used as a place where captures were held. It was rebuilt several times because of several reasons especially because of the big Galata fire.
Now it is used as a restaurant.
How to go to Galata Tower ?
From Ataturk Airport
Get on metro from airport
Then go until station Zeytinburnu. You must transfer to the tram at this station.Get on it.
Get off on Karakoy station. Then you will see the Galata tower. You must walk a little to reach there
